Thanksgiving recap

This year was Trent's second time celebrating the holiday. Both years were different, and neither were like past years (does that make sense?). Normally, Kevin and I would try to spend time with both of our families, needless to say things can be hectic for us. My mom normally has dinner around 2 or 3, so the rest of the day is jam packed. Last year, however, my dad was sick so we didn't spend any time with them (for fear of passing the sickness on to Trent). Instead we spent the day with the Woodlands. This year my family decided to meet at Cracker Barrell for a breakfast/brunch kinda thing. I was kind of surprised my parents went for the idea, as my mom always makes a big dinner, but they were all for it. Unfortunately not all of my brothers (or Amy) could make it, and they were missed. Breakfast/Brunch was very nice. The food was great and the atmosphere was relaxed. Surprisingly enough, Cracker Barrell was not crowded at all. It was glorious. Of course my parents and Mike were thrilled to spend some time with the Trentster.

After brunch, we headed back to our house. Kevin and Trent napped while I prepared a few side dishes for dinner. Once the boys were awake and the food was done we headed to my in-laws house. Both of Trents Great Grandmoms were there for the evening, so it was nice to spend some time with them! After a few hours of chit chat we sat down to a scrumptious meal and a variety of sweets.

By the end of the day Trent was pooped. He was asleep before we even got home.

All in all, a great holiday. I just wish I had taken pictures to document the day.

The next day - Black Friday - was spent the way it always is....with me at work! boooo. Kevin's company closes for a nice 4 day weekend, so Kevin and Trent spent the day together.
