Ok, one more - the cake I made. I also made some test tube shots which I heard were pretty good. Maybe NEXT Halloween I will be able to drink alcohol (couldn't drink in 2008. couldn't drink this year). But back to the cake - it was a bit of a Frankenstein cake really....I had to piece the top half together then plop a ton of icing on the top and TRY to make it presentable. I baked it Thursday night for a Friday night party and I honestly didn't think it was going to make it thru the night. It was starting to fall apart almost immediately. Somehow, it stayed it one piece (for the most part). It still didn't look all too great, but I put way too much effort into this cake to leave it home. So I took it and encouraged some of the guests at the party to indulge. I like to think I almost convinced a vegan to cheat and have some, but she wasn't falling for it. In the end though, I got very positive responses (well, positive remarks from those who like a whole lot of chocolate). It's a "black magic" cake with chocolate ganache filling and chocolate icing that I tried to dye black. yummmmm.

Anonymous asks: How has having a child affected your relationship with Kevin as far as physical attraction and "love" life?

Answer: This could get awkward for some readers. Well, I can't speak for Kevin, but this is how I feel: Kevin is an amazing father. He is very hands-on and he does not shy away from any of the baby related chores (except for breast feeding. for some reason he won't let Trent latch on). Seeing the way he is with our son makes me feel more attracted to him than ever before.
I'd say our love life is pretty good....now. I think it helps than Trent sleeps through the night, as we are generally well rested as a result. Well rested people = pleasant people. And it helps that Trent sleeps in his own room, giving us alone time to talk, cuddle or >>wink wink<<>very different answer :-p

Anonymous asks: Was it hard for you to transition from being just you and your husband, to a family of 3?

Answer: A little hard. Late in my pregnancy we would talk about how life would never be the same again, and it was very bitter sweet for both of us. We wouldn't be able to come and go as we please. We wouldn't be able to afford the trips we used to take. We knew we'd probably lose some friends. But at the same time we knew we were ready. We were anxious for one chapter to end and the next one to begin. We were ready for the adventures of the unknown!! So, to celebrate the end of our life as *DINK's*, towards the end of my pregnancy we went to the movie theater a whole lot and we did a couple really nice "last adult dinner alone" dates.

After actually having Trent things were hectic at first, of course. We didn't always agree on how things should be done, and lack of sleep put us both on edge, but we talked it through and eventually we just fell into a routine that really worked for us. Now, life is great. We occasionally have our "date nights". We each get our one-on-one-with-Trent time. And every night after Trent goes to bed we get some very special quiet time together!

It helps that Trent has always been an amazing baby!!!!
