This soccer game was a different - this game featured Trent playing first on his own team, but then switching jersey and team in an attempt to keep the game going. The yellow team started with 4 players, but one player left, leaving the minimum amount of players and no subs. When one of the three remaining yellow players didn't want to play any longer, we switched Trent's t-shirt. We didn't think it would confuse him at all, since he doesn't seem to get the whole 'steal the ball only from the opposing team', 'passing', and 'score only in your net' stuff. But we were wrong. He got confused. Not sure we'll be doing that again (lol).

Game #2
A better experience. Trent knew that in theory he was supposed to kick the ball into the goal. I know he knew because he said "kick ball in net". When it came right down to it he was still too reserved to make a real move. He did chase the players who were kicking the ball a bit. He even SCORED HIS FIRST GOAL. and second. and third. Sure one of the goals were in his own net, but hey, a net's a net at this age!
The silly coaches put Trent and his best buddy in at the same time, which was highly amusing to everyone, but hardly practical as far as playing a soccer game was concerned.
He sat out the 3rd quarter, and mommy made the mistake of taking his cleats and socks off (I thought he was done for the game, I swear!). The coach wanted to put him back in, but it takes too long to squeeze his wide feet into those slender cleats.
Did I mention the balloon?? A great tool, but a bit distracting. Trent was particularly interested in the balloon when it came loose and floated away. There was a few minutes of staring into the sky and pointing.
