I like big butts and I can not lie

Julie Asks: Did you lose all your baby weight with the first baby? and are you more or less or about the same concerned about the weight coming off after the second baby as you were with the first?

Answer: I tried answering this in a cryptic discreet way but it was just too confusing, so I'm going to put the actual numbers out there.

When I got pregnant with Trent I weighed 130lbs. I gained 30lbs with him. Simple math tells us that I weighed 160 when he was born. I managed to lose all 30lbs, plus an additional 10, by the time I got pregnant with #2 (7-8 months post-partum).

I started this pregnancy weighing 120. If my weight gain continues at the same pace it has been these last few months, I predict I will gain a total of 30-40 with this pregnancy all together.

I remember being nervous about my weight gain the first time around. I tried not to care about it because I knew it was totally normal natural to gain weight during pregnancy, but there was always a part of me that worried I wouldn't be able to get the whole 30 off. I remember coming home from the hospital weighing only 7 lbs lighter than when i went in. Trent weighed 7lb 7 oz, so you can imagine my disappointment. I should have lost the baby's weight, plus some fluid weight, plus the afterbirth weight. But it was what it was. I didn't have time to care about my weight - I had a baby to take care of.

This time around, I'm not nearly as nervous about losing the weight. I know that with time, all or most of it will come off. I'm not expecting to get back down to 120, but I'd really like to get down to at least the 130 I was before having any babies. Of course id be THRILLED beyond belief to get back down to 120, but I'm trying to be realistic.
